Basic Purpose:

Based in Boston, the analyst will be a member of the Eaton Vance Management’s Specialty Solutions Team which focuses on long-term tax-managed strategies and investing.  With over $40b in AUM and strong business growth momentum, the team is seeking an equity research analyst who will focus on the long-term oriented fundamental analysis of companies across a range of market caps and industries. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide investment recommendations, research and analyze publicly traded companies across a variety of sectors, industries and market caps
  • Conduct ongoing fundamental research on current and prospective holdings
  • Identify secular growth opportunities as well as risks across a broad investment landscape
  • Employ diligent equity research utilizing both qualitative and quantitative sources of information
  • Pursue long-term investment approach balancing investment and tax considerations
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with other department analysts to maximize knowledge within various sectors

 

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree and CFA strongly preferred  
  • Experience in small and mid-capitalization investing required
  • Minimum of 7-10 years relevant investment experience with knowledge of the Information Technology, Healthcare and/or Fintech sectors
  • Proven track record of success in generating alpha over an extended investment time horizon
  • Ability to research, analyze and recommend a wide range of investments in an efficient timeframe
  • Superior understanding of securities analysis, valuation methods, qualitative and quantitative techniques
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-starter with a high level of integrity and ambition
  • Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
  • Advance computer skills and strong attention to detail
