The Role:
The Investment Strategist will work closely with the Wealth Management firm's Deputy Head of Investments, providing investment research and investment strategy support to key client accounts that require a high level of bespoke investment management.
The Investment Strategist will deliver and work on bespoke investment work for specific client projects. This may extend to research into investment themes and fund managers, alternative investment products, securities and derivatives.
This role will involve independent investment research work across multi asset classes and working in conjunction with other investment analysts in the business.
The Investment Strategist will contribute their own investment views to the Wealth Management Investment Committee and challenge team views. Participate in the Wealth Management firms investment decisions on investments covered.
Produce regular reviews of general investment management performance and key drivers of investments on accounts being supported for the Wealth Management company.
The Investment Strategist will produce client presentation material and commentary to support private client servicing, support the private client teams, and attending private client meetings for acquisition and servicing. This is a key part of the role!
The Candidate
5 - 10 years minimum experience in a Client Facing Investment Strategist , Multi Asset Investment Research / Investment strategy experience in identifying, selecting and managing allocations to third party investment managers/funds across traditional asset classes and alternative strategies.
Experience in presenting to clients and explaining investment strategy, investment thinking and performance of investments.
Relevant experience in managing portfolios of 3rd party funds.
Relevant numerate or economics degree.
CFA or relevant investment management qualifications:
Excellent communication skills and Ability to produce highly technical and detailed investment management information
Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical research skills
Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
