  • Who we are looking for
The Financial Data Analyst - Officer will work with other AI agile team members through the phases of use-case data exploration and prototyping to the design, implementation and support deployment of the resulting AI services while focusing on data/financial/business analysis, data cleansing and pre-processing for core model needs, and test of quantitative financial models.

What you will be responsible for
  • Responsible for detail analysis of business requirement and produce requirement specification
  • Work with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand and document existing workflow and challenges and then design optimized business process and technology workflow
  • In depth analysis of financial data from front office to back office to ensure data quality and cleanse data as needed
  • Design and develop data process, perform feature analysis and write algorithms to transform input feature for core model consumption
  • Support production issue pertinent to data and data processing algorithm What we value
These skills will help you succeed in this role
  • Proficient data analysis, processing and visualization skills using popular tools (Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, SKLearn, PCA, Excel, Matplotlib, Seaborn, etc.)
  • Proficient in financial theories & financial engineering (Equities, Bonds, Derivatives, Asset Pricing, Accounting, Financial Risk Management, etc.)
  • Familiar with structured and unstructured data management tools (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, KDB+, Hadoop, etc.)
  • Communication skills. The ability to communicate at the right level with all parties involved, including management and business stakeholders
  • Good English reading, speaking and writing skill
Education & Preferred Qualification
  • Bachelor degree required (preferably in computer science, mathematical finance, financial engineering, statistics or related field)
  • 3+ years of hands on experience in performing business requirement, producing business specification and process/workflow design in financial industry
  • 3+ years of solid financial data analysis and traditional machine learning (GBDT, random forest etc.) and/or deep learning experience
  • 2+ years of project development experience and proven track of delivering enterprise applications (Python, Java, C++, SQL)
  • Result driven, detail oriented, candid attitude, motivated to learn new things
Experience in any of the following is highly desirable:
  • Passed Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) level 1 or FRM level 1 examination
  • Project management experience
