Our client is a global private debt fund with over US$ 90 bn of AUM that has an exciting new role for an experienced investment professional. You will have the opportunity to join a premier team as Investment Vice president, playing a pivotal role in the origination and execution of senior debt and mezzanine investments in Latin America, with a focus on Mexico. The position is based in Mexico City.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage a team of investment professionals that will be responsible for originating and managing private placements in Latin America
  • Originate new private placements of senior and mezzanine financings, typically ranging in size from $10 to $300 million
  • Develop relationships with clients, prospects, and intermediaries in Latin America, with a focus on Mexico
  • Work closely with senior management to successfully accomplish the objectives of the Latin American operations and broader, overall goals of the fund

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Ample years of experience in the corporate finance industry with significant knowledge of the Latin American market, particularly Mexico
  • An MBA and/or the CFA designation is preferred
  • Strong analytic and investment skills and a proven track record in originating and managing debt investments
  • Critical reasoning, natural curiosity and good common sense
  • Highly motivated and creative problem solver
  • Excellent client relationship skills
  • Strong leadership capabilities and effective management skills, with a desire to manage, mentor and develop team members
  • Keen organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to distil and then to clearly and concisely communicate complex issues to a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with an ability to communicate results and influence decisions and direction at the senior management level
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Willingness to travel is essential
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English
