Colliers is currently seeking a Senior Research Analyst to join our growing research department. The Senior Research Analyst creates reports, conducts research, analyzes financial information, and makes predictions regarding financial matters. This position serves Colliers Securities broad base of institutional investment clients, focused on small/mid-cap stocks and deepening our coverage of consumer, med/tech, TMT and industrials. Our headquarters are located in downtown Minneapolis, but this position has the option to be fully remote.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyzes financial information and conducts analytic and strategic research; provides support to institutional sales team
  • Develops and executes on a business plan to establish coverage of 15 to 20 institutional quality names
  • Builds and maintains earnings models
  • Creates a regular flow of written product for our institutional sales force and client base
  • Communicates key recommendations and findings
  • Synthesize data to come up with new investment ideas
  • Evaluate risks and opportunities and communicate to clients
  • High energy, flexible and adaptive, works well in a very fast paced environment
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years of industry experience (buy/sell-side, investment banking and/or private equity)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, math, engineering or a related field required
  • Master’s degree / MBA preferred
  • Series 7, 86/87 required

COMPETENCIES

  • General accounting knowledge/skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are essential
  • Problem solving skills and analytical skills required
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience with Fact Set and Bloomberg
  • Regular and reliable attendance required
