Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assume primary due diligence responsibilities for existing third-party money managers across the equity, fixed income, and private investment landscape:
    • Lead meetings (virtual and on-site) with portfolio managers
    • Conduct asset class research and manager-specific projects
    • Coordinate lead operational due diligence
    • Oversee strategy expectations and uncover any "red flags" that may arise
    • Maintain pipeline of peer investment strategies 
  • Source new investment themes and strategies for possible inclusion in client portfolios
  • Help refine manager due diligence and selection process across asset classes
  • Maintain a network of investment allocators and money managers
  • Coordinate investment related requests with other departments internally, including Advisory Team, Trust, Tax, Legal, Compliance, and Operations
  • Aid in the analysis of client asset allocations, portfolio construction methodology, and the team’s risk management framework
  • Prepare and present manager-specific performance, exposure and risk reports to Investment Committee and firm.
  • Craft client communications that provide an update on the market, economy and portfolio
  • Attend investment conferences, investor days and leadership training opportunities

Minimum Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years in investment related position
  • CFA Charterholder a plus
  • Experience with Caissa, Morningstar, Black Diamond, Bloomberg, etc. a plus
  • Prior experience in a leadership position as a mentor to analyst team members
  • Deep investment knowledge across all asset classes that would apply towards managing portfolios on behalf of ultra-high net worth families
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to balance and prioritize projects
  • Ability to be proactive and anticipate issues and problems and work quickly and proactively to solve them
  • Willingness to learn and expand responsibility
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to work in a team setting
  • Ability to maintain extreme confidentiality in dealing with client matters
  • Proficient in use of Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and CRM applications
  • Must consent to and have favorable consumer report, background check and drug/alcohol test
