Overview & Responsibilities: ASNY Asset Management manages the public investments for the ASNY family office. The Asset Management Analyst is responsible for all investment reporting/tracking, assisting the investment team with analysis of the portfolio, as well as various back office operations. Qualified candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and need to be a team player with high integrity and discretion.
Various responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Daily preparation of the overall portfolio estimate spreadsheet and any changes or enhancements as needed
- Preparation of the ASNY Asset Management monthly reporting package
- Assists with the preparation of the ASNY Asset Management quarterly reporting package
- Assists with overall performance assessment of external portfolio managers
- Assists with daily oversight of prime brokerage portfolio trader’s risk management policies as well as daily preparation of any spreadsheets used to track trading portfolio
- Assists in analysis of all other portfolio allocations including tactical positioning, trading, hedge funds, etc.
- Responsible for various other back office operations
- Vendor relationships (Bloomberg, Market Q, etc.)
- Miscellaneous investment related duties (Trade break reconciliations, investment statement assembly, tax information support, etc.)
- Assists with Asset Management operating budget and variance analysis
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in finance or related required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, macros, etc.)
- Previous “relevant” investment experience/investment knowledge required
- Experience should include an understanding of all asset classes/investments, basic performance metrics, basic risk management functions, and familiarity with Bloomberg
- Individual of high integrity, honesty and discretion
- Demonstrated effectiveness in building credibility, trust and collaborative relationships with all colleagues, both internally and externally
- Self-confident individual with sound, mature judgment, conviction and common sense
- A team player with “hands-on,” “in the trenches” work ethic/approach
