The Role: Credit Risk Solutions Go-to-Market/Strategy - Americas Lead

The Location: New York

The Team: The team is responsible for defining and implementing the Go-to-Market (GTM) approach as well as the market strategy of the Credit Risk Solutions (CRS) business in the Americas. The team works on day-to-day management and long-term strategic planning and execution in all markets, supporting sales and go-to-market strategy.

The Impact: This role is responsible for maintaining and growing the Credit Risk Solutions business in the Americas region as a key member of the CRS team. The CRS business is comprised of several key solutions focused on credit ratings including RatingsDirect & RatingsXpress, quantitative credit risk models from Credit Analytics, PD scorecards and climate analytics. Reporting to the Global Head of GTM & Strategy for CRS, successful execution of this role will result in continued strong growth of the business in the Americas through partnership with the product development, commercial, legal, compliance and marketing teams.

Responsibilities: Help oversee the management of the Credit Risk Solutions product line in the Americas with responsibility for day-to-day management of the market strategy and go-to-market plan.
  • Work with key stakeholders across commercial, marketing, product, legal, compliance and senior management in order to provide regional management for the Credit Risk Solutions business line within the Americas region.
  • Develop innovative go-to-market plans for new and existing solutions, drive the communication and regional execution of these plans.
  • Provide product feedback to the product development team based upon market knowledge and client feedback
  • Act as a subject matter expert in client meetings leveraging your deep knowledge of the industry and our solutions.
  • Develop and author thought leadership articles which address market problems and articulate the value of our capabilities.
  • Identify and capture new use cases and markets for our continually evolving set of solutions across capital markets, commercial banking, insurance and non-financial corporates.
  • Represent S&P Global Market Intelligence in market facing presentations, events and webinars on credit risk topics.
  • Monitor financial performance of the business and identify key trends/opportunities/challenges.
What We're Looking For:
Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years of product management, product specialist, or industry experience
  • Bachelor's degree, ideally with a focus on economics, or finance
  • Experience in financial services, preferably in the Credit space
  • Excellent client-facing and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with quantitative credit risk/probability of default models
  • Experience working to launch products in different markets and grow existing business lines
  • Ability to work closely within a team but also be able to work independently with little supervision
  • Experience managing/developing staff
  • Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or CFA
  • Experience working on a globally located team and coordinating across time zones
  • ESG experience and familiarity with transition and physical risk
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $101,000 to $279,200. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus/a sales commission plan.
