Equity Investments
Front Office (Primary Responsibility)
- Selection of sectors and investment opportunities
- Sectoral research/updates
- Changes in relevant regulations (FDI, RBI, SEBI, RBI): impact on portfolio companies
Exits for existing investments
- Evaluating exit opportunities for the existing equity investments
- Monitoring the performance of investee companies
- Preparation of equity research reports on listed investment
Transaction execution:
- Capital raise in existing investee companies
- Renegotiations of shareholder rights
- IPO of investee companies (CAMS, Suryoday, Utkarsh)
Strategic Transactions:

- HDFC’s equity capital raise
- Acquisition of Apollo Munich
- Acquisition of HDFC Credila’s erstwhile promoter stake
- Gruh-Bandhan merger
- ESOP Valuation
New Investment Proposals
- Evaluation of new investment proposals including business & financial due diligence
- Evaluation of financial models/projections for investment proposals
- Negotiation on valuation and shareholder rights
Mid Office Role (Secondary Responsibility)
- Quarterly Ind-AS portfolio valuations
- Regulatory filings with RBI, NHB and FIPB
- Investments portfolio review notes in coordination with the front end team
- Transaction support – Investment documentation, co-ordination
- Quarter end – Maturities, MTMs, Associates file, Items for ratification etc.
- Co-ordination with portfolio companies and venture funds for information required by various teams and auditors
- Coordinating broker empanelment, invoice payout, venture fund drawdowns/distribution etc.
Qualification & Experience
- CA or MBA (finance)
- 7-8 years of post-qualification experience
- Good analytical and logical ability
- Good communication skills (written & spoken)
- Good presentation and report writing skills
