This role is responsible for providing (i) asset allocation recommendations from Investment and capital market perspective for decision making in regular asset allocation review processes, (ii) investment analytics function in annual strategy planning exercise and in supporting finance and ERM functions. Specifically, the role is in charge of making Tactical Asset Allocation (TAA) proposals to maximise investment performances and annual budget exercise for the entire balance sheet assets for the Company.

  • Responsible for the implementation and enhancement of overall TAA framework and process for AIA Singapore, including necessary system set up
  • In charge of TAA process, relevant documentation, ensure optimal execution of the TAA calls by CIO and provide relevant performances analysis of TAA calls
  • Provide CIO with regular analysis of the optimized TAA, constrained and unconstrained TAA, as well as final TAA recommendations with rationales and detailed analysis to improve investment performances
  • Support the Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) process and exercise to ensure optimal results are produced considering the investment performances, capital and financial implications and market constraints
  • Support and develop investment solutioning to propose new asset classes or asset strategies, structures, strategies and instruments, focusing on fixed income instruments for the Company's funds based upon the capital market outlook, business needs, the attractiveness and opportunities
  • Responsible for annual strategic planning exercise for assets and investment division for the planned period
  • Participate in investment performance review and discussion with AIA Investment Management, focusing on fixed income asset classes to ensure investment requirements are met and risk-adjusted investment returns are optimized
  • Shared responsibilities of investment analytics in monitoring and reporting performances, insights of the assets, financial impact/capital impact and regulatory reporting for the Company's assets
  • Collaborate internally, across departments and AIA Group to develop best-in-class products for high-net-worth clients, affluent clients and ILP products
  • Share the responsibility of ensuring the adherence to AIA Investment Governance Framework, while strengthening the control environment (as 1st Line of defense) and to facilitate the governance, risk and compliance culture, together with 2nd and 3rd Line of defense at AIA Singapore
  • Share the responsibility of administration tasks such as coordinating committee meetings, month-end financial closing related activities as well as regulatory requirements and inquiries

Job Requirements
  • At least a bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, financial engineering, data analytics, statistics, math, economics or actuarial science. Masters degrees and/or additional professional qualifications such as CFA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 - 10 years of relevant experiences.
  • Strong interest in investment management, quantitative analysis, capital market and balance sheet management
  • Familiar with Bloomberg and MS office Positive and energetic with high potential
  • Presentable and independent thinker
  • Team player and a strong communicator
