Televisa is the leading media company in the Spanish-speaking world, number one cable operator in Mexico and the leading operator of direct-to-home satellite pay television system in Mexico and Central America.
Launched at the end of 2019, Televisa’s Corporate Venture Capital invests in high growth B2C companies with operations in Mexico through a Media for Equity model, leveraging its dominant market position to improve its portfolio companies’ reach, brand awareness and client engagement through mass media.
Profile:
An exciting and varied position, the candidate will be involved in the Group’s investments from origination to closing, including looking for new targets, ongoing discussions with regional partners (VC, PE and CVC firms), valuation, structuring, negotiation and monitoring of the investments. Motivated and enthusiastic self-starter who can work with light supervision, capable of easily interacting with senior management and partnering with Televisa’s media executives.
Industry research to understand market trends and new opportunities:

Deal screening: Calls and meetings with new prospects to discuss its business model and potential fit

Network with other VC/PE/CVC firms in the region Due diligence

Gather information from the target and relevant industry sources

Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to provide a deep understanding of the business

Valuation analysis through financial modelling

Review of potential deal structures, suggest solutions during negotiations

Develop a business case for internal investment memos (Investment Committee, Board)

Review and discuss legal transaction documents
Required skills and experience

At least 5 years of relevant investment experience (investment banking, VC/PE)

Outstanding analytical skills, detail-oriented, proactive and self-motivated

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

Solid research skills

Experience with various financial valuation techniques
