  • Perform analyses to help address real-time demands of senior members of the team, i.e. market risk (VaR, duration), credit risk and Operational risk analysis.
  • Partner with development teams to create "state-of-the-practice" regulatory risk analytics and risk models that are practical to use through the BlackRock platform.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of local risk management policies and procedures and adequate risk management systems to identify, measure, manage and monitor risks appropriately and on an on-going basis.
  • Contribute to defining, documenting and implementing an effective governance framework for the validation of risk models and stress testing among others.
  • Produce regular reports to the management company (daily reports, Risk Committee and Board of Directors) on the current levels of risk incurred by each managed Fund and the compliance of each managed Fund with the relevant risk limit system.
  • Prepare, aggregate and quality control risk-related data which is needed for various reporting purposes.
  • As a member of the global RQA group, participate in global and/or regional risk management initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Quantitative, analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong self-learning skills and comfortable with autonomy - inquisitive, detail-oriented, self-motivated
  • Fluent spoken and written English and Spanish.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Minimum working experience of at least 5 years within the risk management or risk reporting function of a financial services organization and with preferred experience in the Mutual Funds or Pension Funds industry.
  • Knowledge of Mutual Funds Regulation and risk reporting requirements a plus.
  • Strong academic background with excellent numerical and analytical skills - CFA, FRM or equivalent would be regarded favorably.
