Position Summary
The Client Service Associate, Emerging Markets will be responsible for assisting the Emerging Markets (EM) Portfolio Specialist team with client inquiries and requests, marketing presentations, RFPs, and a variety of databases/questionnaires. Responsibilities also include preparing market commentary and performance attribution commentary. This role requires strong quantitative, communication and written skills, as well as teamwork, given collaboration with portfolio managers, research analysts, and colleagues from a variety of departments across the firm. In this role, the candidate will be part of the Emerging Markets Group, reporting into the EM Portfolio Specialist, with a coverage area across EM fixed income and EM equities.
Essential Duties
- Assist with client inquiries and requests
- Assist with RFPs and investor databases/questionnaires
- Prepare charts and tables for use in marketing presentations
- Prepare performance attribution and market commentary
- Manage various ESG, diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) and other databases for the team
- Identify ways of creating efficiencies/improving processes
- Perform ad hoc competitive analyses
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Solid working knowledge of capital markets and experience with fixed income
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel and Word). Bloomberg proficiency a plus

- A self-starter who takes initiative. Flexibility and teamwork are essential in this collaborative role, as well as the ability to be resourceful and work independently
- Strong quantitative skills and excellent attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Well organized and able to prioritize multiple requests from a variety of sources
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in fixed income research preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with ESG preferred, but not required
