HBKS Wealth Advisors, is an independent, fee-only RIA that provides High Net Worth clients with comprehensive wealth & investment management solutions. HBKS is hiring a Junior Portfolio Manager or Portfolio Manager (PM), depending on experience, to join our team. This position is intended to enable HBKS to meet the demands of our growing business. The PM will report to the firm’s Chief Investment Officer and will be a member of the Firm’s Asset Management Group (AMG).

We are seeking a motivated and hard-working individual to be responsible for the analysis and recommendation of various investment opportunities in the public and private markets on behalf of HBKS client portfolios. The PM will be a voting member the firm’s Investment Policy Committee and participates in the asset allocation decisions of the firm’s client portfolios. The PM also will provide the research and data needed on a variety of economic and market issues for the committee to make sound investment decisions on behalf of the HBKS clients.  The PM also will assist the Financial Advisors on an occasional basis in one-on-one meetings with clients and prospects.

The essential functions of this position are:

  • Support decisions made by firm’s Chief Investment Officer, Principals of the firm, and the Financial Services Operating Committee.
  • Participate on the Firm’s Investment Policy Committee (IPC).
  • Actively seek and assist in the due diligence on potential  investment opportunities in the private markets for the high-net-worth clients of HBKS Wealth Advisors in one or more of the following areas: hedge funds, private equity, private credit, and real estate
  • Work closely with the AMG’s Research Analysts and Traders in the development of appropriate investment strategies for clients
  • Provide on-going management of diversified portfolios that include mutual funds, ETFs, individual securities and private investments
  • Monitor the firm’s model portfolios and recommend potential modifications to the asset allocation of the firm’s models
  • Serve as a resource on all investment management issues for Advisors of the firm.
  • Participate in client review meetings to communicate how the firm's investment strategies and investment outlook is helping clients to meet their objectives


  • 5-10 year’s experience managing portfolios for high net worth individuals/families
  • 5 years’ experience evaluating investment opportunities in the private markets
  • CFA designation or progress towards
