Head of Controlling, Successful PE-backed FinTech Firm, Berlin, Germany

Our client is a successful fintech firm backed by renowned PE funds. The company is focused on online payment services and provides their clients with "white label" solutions. The firm is on an ambitious growth path and is now looking to hire a Head of Controlling to join their team. In this position, you will lead the controlling team and report directly to the CFO. The position is based in Berlin.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• You will be responsible for the management of the controlling team and will continue to train and develop it
• Take ownership of the preparation of monthly investor presentations and financial reports
• Coordination of the budget and planning process in close cooperation with both internal departments and the holding
• Continuously develop and improve the internal reporting system, especially with regards to balance sheet and cash flow reporting
• Main point of contact for auditors, group accounting and controlling
• You will be the first point of contact in all matters relating to analyses and finances

YOUR PROFILE:

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance or related disciplines; additional qualifications, such as a CFA, are a plus
• Significant work experience in an operative finance position, ideally paired with leadership experience in a PE / VC environment
• Previous experience in the FinTech or e-Commerce sector is a plus
• You have experience with working with various stakeholders and shareholders on a daily basis
• Strong accounting skills (German GAAP and IFRS) are essential
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to guide and lead a team through organisational growth
• You are hands-on, proactive with an eye for detail
• Fluency in German and English is required
