The Role :
As part of the investment team you will work closely with the Chief Investment Officer to:
- Identify, research & evaluate investment opportunities across a full range of asset classes i.e. Equities, Bonds/Fixed Income, Currencies
- Liaise with external investment counterparties to gather quantitative and fundamental research to generate investment ideas
- Undertake comprehensive quantitative analysis, modelling and valuation
- Perform daily risk monitoring of investments and all portfolios within the team
- Manage performance of new and existing investments with focus on actual returns
- Develop investment presentations to relevant parties
- Bring value added to the team in term of skills, ownership, accountability and performance
Qualifications :
- Formal qualifications (University degree AND other relevant qualifications). A CFA/CAIA/CFP and MBA/MSc would be a plus
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant asset management/investment research/portfolio management experience with a thorough understanding of financial markets
- Solid financial modelling and valuation skills
- Strong technical, quantitative and fundamental analysis skills
- Hands-on investment experience
- Impeccable power point presentation skills
- Computer skills i.e. EXCEL, VBA/Python/other coding language, Thomson Reuters and Bloomberg are a MUST
- Team player
- Strong written and oral communication as well as presentation skills
- Fluent in English, Cantonese and/or Mandarin is preferred
Remuneration will be based on a solid and attractive fixed salary plus a variable based on the quantifiable performance impact within portfolios
