A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You’ll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud. Our Finance Treasury team manages PwC’s capital structure and cash management operations. As part of our team, you’ll assist us with financial and enterprise risk management functions, transaction support, investment management, financial planning and reporting operations that includes cash forecasting, and budgeting and account reconciliation.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities as a team leader, emphasizing the following areas:

  • Contributing to the stewardship of the firm’s retirement and pension plans as delegated by the plan trustees;
  • Managing the day-to-day responsibilities for the plans and the relationship with service providers;
  • Constructing and managing portfolios to achieve each plans’ investment returns and risk metrics;
  • Directing the work of investment consultants to prepare management reporting and portfolio analysis, including but not limited to, simulation modeling and risk analyses;
  • Monitoring the asset allocation of investment portfolios to ensure within defined investment policies and overseeing periodic rebalancing;
  • Making recommendations to plan trustees regarding plan objectives, investment policies, asset allocation targets and fund selection;
  • Monitoring and evaluating performance of investment consultants and investment managers, and making recommendations to the plan trustees of any proposed changes;
  • Maintaining an in-depth understanding of global and domestic market conditions, economic trends and economic outlook;
  • Researching and analyzing complex factors and making recommendations on investment opportunities with assistance of investment consultants;
  • Monitoring the funded status of the plans and make recommendations, as appropriate;
  • Managing internal control processes and procedures to ensure that plan investments are in compliance with the firm’s independence policy to ensure auditor independence standards and regulations established by the auditing profession’s standard-setting bodies (e.g., AICPA) and by external regulators (e.g., SEC);
  • Maintaining and monitoring investment strategy objectives, guidelines. and parameters for the firm’s balance sheet cash to obtain the best available return consistent with the liquidity and preservation objectives;
  • Managing all administrative aspects of the investment process including working with vendors, managing wiring of funds and supervising of Treasury Associate; and,
  • Assisting with special projects across treasury related to liquidity management, cash forecasting, FX risk, partner programs or other areas, as needed.

  • Preparing materials for presentation to Treasurer and Trustees that clearly articulate investment strategies, fund performance, investment instruments and due diligence and the benefits and risks of the strategies and investment discussions;

  • Demonstrating organizational and project management skills. Clearly communicating project timelines and status with senior management;
  • Demonstrating attention to detail and organization;
  • Working under pressure and meeting critical deadlines; and,
  • Interacting with leaders to resolve issues, accurately and concisely answer inquiries, and proactively report potential issues to management.
