Position Summary

We are currently looking for an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Communications Analyst to join our Stewardship team. The primary function of this position will be to coordinate between our Stewardship team, who leads our ESG integration efforts, and our Client Relations Team. Our ESG proprietary research focuses on identifying material risks and opportunities for current and prospective portfolio businesses. As client interest has risen in this space, we are looking for someone who can create client-facing materials that describe our broader Stewardship efforts. The Communications Analyst will be responsible for responding to individual client requests and creating proactive material as well.

Position Responsibilities
  • Integrate into the Stewardship team to build context for our ESG efforts
  • Stay abreast of ESG-related discussions within the broader Investment Team, as well as engagement initiatives
  • Collaborate between the Stewardship Team and Client Relations Teams
  • Create written content related to our Stewardship efforts
  • Respond to specific client requests that require ESG specific knowledge
  • Create ESG content for our website that describes our ESG efforts
  • Synthesize ESG data from external providers as well as internal tracking systems into approachable client-facing materials
  • Other projects and tasks as appropriate

Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated passion for equity research and ESG research
  • 6+ years of relevant investment industry experience (preferably 2+ years with a specific focus on ESG research)
  • Ability to work collaboratively and across teams, but also able to complete research independently
  • Outstanding analytical and strategic aptitude
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, diligence, and an ability to complete assigned projects in a timely manner without direct supervision
  • MBA and/or CFA preferred, but not required
  • Global research experience preferred, but not required
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Exhibits behaviors consistent with Sands Capital's mission, values, and culture
