Accounting Administrator

Sterling Silver Development Corporation is a private family-owned business seeking a member of their corporate accounting and finance team.  This is a newly created, entry level position.  While a significant portion of the responsibilities are administrative, there will be a growing exposure to financial analysis and accounting functions.  This is a great opportunity for a recent university graduate in an accounting or finance program.  Candidate must be enrolled in and pursuing a CPA or CFA designation. 


Code and input approved invoices into Yardi, attach appropriate support and submit for approval

Prepare and post journal entries

Maintain electronic filing system

General filing

Facilitate communications between internal team and external stakeholders

Liaison with investment funds, banks, accounting firms, and lawyers

Drafting letters and basic correspondence


Set up wires

Set up account transfers

Run bank reports

Asist with:

Year end working paper files

GL account analysis

Prepare returns for HST returns

Bank Reconciliations

Intercompany account reconciliations

Investment analysis and internal reporting

Prepare AD-HOC reports as required


University Degree in accounting, finance, business or similar program

Working towards a CPA or CFA designation

Strong attention to detail and very organized

Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel (advanced Excel skills an asset)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Analytical and problem-solving skills
