Job Description

Cresset is seeking a Wealth Advisor Associate to provide support in all facets to the Wealth Advisor(s).  Wealth Advisors lead in client acquisition and retention through their client/family relationships, COIs and strong knowledge of the industry’s products, solutions and services.  The Associate will be mentored and trained to become a Wealth Advisor while in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain long term relationships with clients and prospects through the Wealth Advisor
  • Ability to assist in the client experience by effectively arranging internal and external resources to deliver a comprehensive wealth management solution
  • Proactively assist the primary Wealth Advisor opportunities for portfolio optimization and rebalancing; apply best thinking of the firms Investment Committee
  • Provide daily support to the Wealth Advisor on client requests, priorities and needs
  • Coordinate information that is presented to the clients through communication directed by the Wealth Advisor
  • Develop and grow a strong wealth management acumen by understanding public and private markets, portfolio construction and management, goals-based planning, and basic estate, tax and philanthropic planning considerations
  • Continuous growth of business development and relationship building skills through partnerships, mentors, and training from Wealth Advisors; ownership and accountability in your development
  • Utilize technology and resources to meet business deliverables and deadlines

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services; wealth management experience preferred
  • Coachable with the ability to work in a team environment or independently when necessary
  • Trained on industry basics of financial planning, asset allocation and investments; continues to expand their industry knowledge base
  • Must be able to perform successfully in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment and enhance the business in keeping with Cresset’s values and culture
  • Ability to grow with the company and possesses the mindset to adapt with change
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and engaged listening
  • Excellent time management skills including multi-tasking and prioritizing responsibilities
  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Demonstrates professional maturity and sound judgment
  • Fits into high performance culture with accountability and high client centricity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Develop skills using internal and external technology including Salesforce and RedBlack (portfolio management rebalancing system)
