Morgan Stanley Investment Management ( MSIM) is the investment management division of Morgan Stanley. MSIM is the largest shareholder of a Sino-foreign joint venture fund management company, Morgan Stanley Huaxin Fund Management Co., Ltd. ( Fund JV), which is headquartered in Shenzhen, with branches in Beijing and Shanghai. The Fund JV provides an array of professionally managed funds for China investors, including fixed income, actively managed equities, fund of funds and separately-managed accounts, with a goal to meet investors' needs for asset allocation, risk management and investment returns.

JOB SCOPE:

This is a senior management role acting as a strategic advisor to the General Manager of the Fund JV based in Shenzhen and supporting the executive leadership team. The individual will lead integration activities of the Fund JV in relation to Morgan Stanley's acquisition of additional ownership and collaborate with executive team members to prioritize and implement product development, distribution and other key business and integration strategies

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Advise the GM and executive team in strategic planning, policy development, and decision-making
  • Work with the General Manager to coordinate strategic business priorities with MSIM
  • Represent GM in meetings and communications with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support GM by assuming responsibility to see to timely completion of action items agreed in meetings
  • Research and recommend new and revised policies and strategies.


Qualifications:

  • Industry experience of at least 10 years in investment management, ideally in a business management, management consulting, or business / product development environment or a related support role
  • Knowledge of investment management processes and asset management product structures; ideally with experience both onshore China and offshore international markets (e.g., US/Europe/Asia)
  • Advanced degree with a major in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or similar. Further academic qualifications (e.g. MBA, CFA) as an asset
  • Organization and planning skills, strong attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
