This job description details the requirements for an Assistant Manager, Manager or Senior Manager role within the Booking Model & Controls team in the Risk Advisory Practice based in London.

The successful applicant will have responsibility for the following:
  • Advising clients on regulatory expectations and peer practices relating to the booking model and controls agenda, providing insight and practical implementation considerations for any associated enhancements
  • Supporting engagement leads in managing client stakeholders and providing SME input across multiple disciplines and/or jurisdictions
  • Managing project workstreams and leading small and medium sized engagements
  • Undertaking analysis and presenting key findings to stakeholders of varying levels of seniority
  • Identifying issues and offering potential solutions to clients and other stakeholders
  • Supporting the businesses 'Talent Agenda' via mentoring and development of individuals/teams
  • Supporting the future strategy and business development capabilities within the Booking Model & Controls team, by preparing thought leadership, client proposals and building technical knowledge across the team
  • Collaborating with colleagues across member firms within Europe, North America and APAC

Experience
  • Degree educated or a relevant professional qualification (e.g. Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Accountant, Financial Risk Management)
  • A broad understanding of front office products and services across the trading and banking books, given this is critical foundational knowledge for the effective delivery of booking model engagements
  • Experience of successfully delivering projects relating to regulatory change, booking model/legal entity simplification, the enhancement of governance, risk management and controls and/or financial resource optimisation
  • Demonstrable ability to interpret regulatory requirements and expectations, assess peer practices and communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences
  • A good grasp of the key elements of front to back risk management frameworks for global financial services firms
  • Knowledge of the developing risk management and control practices relating to electronic trading would be advantageous
