Associate Portfolio Manager, Large Cap Growth

This role represents an opportunity to contribute to the performance of Thrivent’s Large Cap Growth fund. Company research is at the front end of our investment process. The initial focus of this role will be to build financial models, forecasts, and identify key business drivers of companies across multiple industries, as all are critical to company research. The role will evolve to interpretation of models, company initiatives, industry participants, long-term revenue and profit growth prospects, and competitive positioning.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Activities related to building and maintaining company models and forecasts: 75%
- Activities related to ongoing monitoring of company and industry developments: 25%
Building many financial models in a consistent format, communicating investment opinions on companies, and staying current on company and industry developments is a key daily challenge for a Portfolio Manager. That process will be critical to investing in new companies for the Large Cap Growth fund.
- MBA or CFA required.
- Minimum of 2 years consumer related business experience required.
- 5 years of business experience preferred.
- Buy- or sell-side coverage of the Consumer Discretionary sector preferred.
