Enterprise Overview:
Provides technical and analytical support in a GWIM operations function for one or more product areas such as funds transfer, collateral mgt/margins, corporate actions, static data/data management, control, trader support, clearance/settlement, documentation/confirmations, customer service, new accounts, client valuations, document processing or statement/billing processing. Responsible for the analysis and resolution of moderately complex operations problems and initiatives requiring exception handling and working with multiple operational and/or product specialists to resolve. May participate in projects and/or introduction of new initiatives, systems, products/services and processes. As a technical expert, acts as a unit advisor providing technical support to less experienced associates. This role typically requires 3+ years experience in operations functions and a thorough working knowledge of the operational aspects of transactions and products.

LOB Description:
This position is a GWIM Sr. Operations Analyst role within the Wealth Management Performance Operations group. This group is responsible for maintaining timely and accurate reporting of client performance returns for the Private Wealth network. The firm houses client data, which feed client account activity into a vendor platform, Tamarac, which is used for completing performance measurement and analytics. The analyst will support the network of Private Wealth Advisors and other Private Wealth personnel with all aspects related to performance measurement and reporting.

The GWIM Sr. Operations Analyst will provide superior customer service and point of call resolution while conducting proactive quality assurance, problem resolution and offering ongoing assistance to Private Wealth Advisors with respect to performance analytics and reporting. Reporting support includes the facilitation of performance and benchmark information required by the Tamarac vendor platform, the Private Wealth system leveraged for the creation of performance reporting, as well as support for any performance related inquiries on data appearing on that reporting. Performance processes will be monitored and verified as appropriate with prompt resolution for all exception items. Frequent contact with Private Wealth Advisors, branch office personnel, business, technology and vendor partners is required to research and to resolve performance data issues that are encountered.

Specific responsibilities will include conducting research on issues utilizing firm resources, analyzing system data and calculation, portfolio performance, quality assurance of work performed by outside vendors, facilitating adjustments to the performance measurement systems and reporting as needed, supporting exception processing, and the ability to successfully meet administrative deadlines and directives while also ensuring timely and accurate follow-ups to calls and emails. Additional responsibilities will include training and review of all operational and vendor procedures and process flows for completeness and accuracy.

Required Skills:
  • 1-2 years prior experience in the financial industry
  • Proficiency with Excel, Work, PowerPoint and other similar applications
  • Team player with ability to work independently
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Must have strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex performance problems
  • Strong communicative and relationship building skills
  • High attention to detail

Desired Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Math or Statistics and 1-3 years of performance measurement experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Performance Measurement/Reporting
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg
  • Knowledge of the PMC, Rage, First Rate, or Tamarac platform
  • Level 1 CFA or Series 7 preferred
