DIVISION: CFO

Role:
Balance sheet management, liquidity management and financial planning
Monitoring and managing liquidity risk and interest rate risk in the banking book
Performing and challenging financial risk analyses, modelling and assesment
Management of the bond portfolio and of replication portfolios

Contributes to the management of the asset-liability structure of the bank with the aim to ensure maximum return on an acceptable risk basis, performing analyses, scenarios and making proposals for management of the balance-sheet
Performs strategic planning and supervision of the liquidity of the bank with the aim of ensuring sufficient liquidity at all times (in collaboration with Treasury), whilst complying with legal and internal risk framework
Monitors and forecasts the evolution of regulatory and managerial liquidity and balance sheet metrics, proposing and implementing the necessary strategic and tactical steering actions in order to ensure compliance with relevant targets/limits/triggers
Managerial reporting regarding structural liquidity indicators (e.g. intra-period LCR, NSFR, Funding gap, NSFR adjusted, Structural FX gap, Funding concentration) according to the relevant Liquidity taxonomy and regulations in force
Carrying out first level controls aimed at verifying the data quality and robustness of the liquidity indicators and ensuring the consistency between managerial and regulatory reporting
Elaborates the annual/multi-annual Funding Plan and monitors its execution, in collaboration with local and Group relevant functions
Develops the Contingency Funding Plan and participates to the elaboration of the Recovery Resolution Plan in collaboration with the relevant departments
Monitors the banking book evolution from interest rate risk perspective, proposing and implementing the necessary steering actions in order to ensure compliance with relevant targets/limits/triggers
Manages and implements replication portfolios for interest rate risk (e.g. Replication portfolio for sight deposits)
Makes proposals for the structure and duration of the free equity investments
Manages ALM’s investment portfolio in accordance with the approved strategy
Coordinates and contributes to the ALM processes/activities of the subsidiaries
Provides accurate and timely analyses, reports, presentations and recommendations as per managerial and/or regulatory requirements
Works with large data sets and software packages to manipulate data and extract insights
Experience & Skills
Bachelor or Master degree in Mathematics, Econometrics, Finance, Economics or similar
CFA/ACI/FRM/ACCA or similar professional certifications is preferred
Experience in a banking or financial environment; specific banking experience with ALM, Interest Rate & Liquidity Risk Management, Financial Planning is preferred
Good understanding of financial markets and products
Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English
Solid knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word); good knowledge of BI tools, SQL, VBA, Python, SAS Enterprise, Bloomberg, Reuters, Murex, AS400 is a plus
Strong analytical skills, ability to create, challenge and improve ALM related analyses and techniques
