Position Description:

Attorney will work on a team of regulatory attorneys and other legal and compliance professionals to support the firm's activities as they relate to Investment Advisers Act, Investment Company Act, Commodity Exchange Act and related financial regulatory matters. The Attorney will work on various regulatory projects, coordinate implementation of new regulatory requirements, and provide support for regulatory examinations and inquiries. The Attorney will provide ongoing legal advice to various internal groups, including Portfolio Management, Compliance, Account Management and Product Management.

Position Requirements:

  • Member of the bar of any U.S. state
  • Five to ten years as an associate at a leading law firm or in-house position
  • Knowledge of securities and/or commodities laws applicable to registered investment advisers, registered investment companies and/or registered commodity pools, including the Investment Advisers Act, the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Commodity Exchange Act
  • Experience with regulatory examinations and/or enforcement is a plus
  • Experience with ERISA, SEC, CFTC and/or FINRA regulations
  • Knowledge of trading and markets principles is a strong plus
  • Strong oral and written communications skills

Education
  • J.D. from a well-recognized U.S. law school
