As a Senior Manager in Fixed Income Sales, you will manage a team of Regional Bond Specialists (RBS) in our Phoenix, AZ and Westlake, TX locations. Your teams will work with our largest and most sophisticated income investors, providing mentorship and counsel for their fixed income needs; spanning across many solutions, passionate about growing relationships and business development. Typical client interactions range from basic education and trade execution, to highly detailed portfolio analysis and construction. As a leader of this team you will partner closely with our Branch Network and external partners in a wealth management context to drive asset consolidation, Advised Solutions Sales and deliver a world class client experience!
What you are good at
In this position, you will represent the Schwab brand, and deliver on key performance metrics, such as Client Retention, Asset Flows, and Advised Solutions. You will also help craft, communicate, and implement strategies related to your teams function. As part of your role, you will also establish clear performance expectations and consistently communicate progress against those goals, as well as hold employees accountable for achievement of quantitative and qualitative measures. You will also build and develop a hard-working and diverse team, demonstrating complementary skills and abilities, as well as be a talent magnet, engaging in talent networks and encourage acquisitions of new talent for your organization. You will also ensure appropriate supervision of all client/prospect related activities, in partnership with the centralized supervision team.
What you have
  • Minimum 3+ years in sales leadership/financial services capacity.
  • A strong understanding and grasp of the competitive landscape in the financial services industry, especially related to fixed income.
  • Desire to lead and mentor investment professionals; while possessing strong mentoring and employee development skills!
  • Strong leadership, partnership and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity and experience with Bloomberg and Salesforce.
  • Expertise in fixed income markets as well as fixed income products including all sectors of the bond market, Mutual Funds, ETFs and Schwabs Advised Solutions Platform.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills.
  • Bachelor degree required, industry certifications strongly preferred (CFA, CFP, CIMA).
  • Series 7, 63, 66, and 9/10 (may consider as a condition of employment).
