Position Summary:

This role is as a member of the product management team.  The role of the team is to ensure the products offered by the firm are appropriately defined and positioned in the marketplace through the firms messaging, collateral, research, sales support, and investment tools. The team works to building support for products so that they are well understood by financial advisors and comply with regulatory requirements. This  position is a multi-faceted role which requires strong writing and analytical skills,  the ability to verbally communicate with a deep knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and  financial derivatives.  Stakeholder management skills are essential as the role will involve working closely with marketing, legal & compliance, technology, and distribution teams.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Develop and maintain product research, written collateral, and white papers regarding both firm’s product/strategies and overall investment trends in context of client needs.
• Identifies and evaluates business opportunities. Provides management with regular assessment of financial results and recommendations to increase future performance.
• Supports assigned regional sales meeting and distribution events by conducting presentations and acting as a subject matter expert.
• Identify and assists in the development of new tools and technology to enhance product usage and understanding
• Participates as a technical leader in product and competitive analysis
• Provides support and guidance to all functional areas of the company related to product management, marketing, and distribution of products.
• Provides high level, strategic input on key initiatives addressing product strategy and objective
• Acts as project lead on new business development and sales projects.
• Acts as a technical resource to sales and marketing and reacts appropriately to market conditions.
• Maintains expert proficiency in derivative pricing, product design, legal compliance, tax, investment analysis, asset management best practices, product distribution, marketing, and sales.
• Identifies and evaluates business opportunities. Develops and prepares the proper research and collateral to provide value-add to the firm’s clients.
• Supports assigned state/regional and operations functions when needed.
• Review and analyze highly technical and complex market information on benchmark competitors. Identifies ways to keep products competitive.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business
• Graduate degree or CFA Charter preferred
• Series 7 and 63 licenses preferred
• Self-driven and intellectually curious
• Strong writing skills required
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills
• Minimum of two years of experience in asset management, trading, or investment research
• Experience in structured products or options a plus
• Advanced MS Excel skills and Bloomberg skills
• Highly articulate and organized with strong attention to detail
• The ability to handle a fast-paced working environment
• Strong sense of personal responsibility and desire to be challenged
