In this newly created role, the Head of Risk Assurance & Reporting will support the CRO to lead the Fund's assurance activity, including the development of an internal assurance team and management of the Fund's outsourced internal audit service provider, utilising a co-sourced internal audit model.

Assurance activity will be risk-based, covering internal controls, key processes, compliance plans, accreditations, projects, and prudential obligations. The role will also provide high-quality reporting and information to assist management in controlling risk exposures, complying with Group policy and regulatory requirements whilst enabling business objectives and the execution of Fund strategy.

You will lead and coach a small but growing team to build internal audit capability, tools, processes and governance structures to support a co-sourced assurance model with the Fund's existing outsourced internal audit function. The role also entails delivering enhancements to the Fund risk reporting framework, driving the automation of key risk indicator monitoring and reporting, risk profiling and generating business insights from well-governed data analytics capability.

The successful applicant will have extensive Operational/Risk and/or Internal Audit experience gained within a dynamic international financial institution or professional services firm. You will also have had previous leadership experience in leading, developing and coaching high performing internal audit teams.

A background and/or ability to provide expert knowledge, understanding and advice in superannuation related legislation, service delivery, administration and trends within the Financial Services industry is also highly desirable.
Additionally, a tertiary qualification in a legal, finance, business or related discipline would be highly valued as well as any post-graduate qualifications such as CA, CPA, CFA, CFE, CIA, QIAL.
