The opportunity

The Strategy & Operations team in TAS focuses on addressing C-suite agenda in Strategy, Commercial Due Diligence, Integration, Divestments and Value Creation. As the Manager/Senior Manager, you will be working on complex and high-profile transactions, across a broad portfolio of clients and industry sectors, assisting the clients to identify, capture and protect value in their transactions. As a Manager/Senior Manager in the team, you will be managing the preparation and execution of separation and integration plans, identify ideas and sources of value enhancement, as well as advise on risk mitigation and the successful change of operations, functions and people.

Your key responsibilities
As a Manager/Senior Manager in the Strategy & Operations team, you are expected to:
• Be part of a core engagement team working on a C-suite level strategy and transformation agenda
• Develop experience of a range of different type of engagements, including pre-deal (e.g. operational due diligence, carve-out planning), post-deal (e.g. integration planning, tracking) and restructuring (e.g. rapid cost reduction).
• Lead an independent module of an engagement - structuring the module, gathering data and conducting analysis and creating recommendations, sharing and aligning findings with the client
• Lead work-streams comprising members of the client and colleagues from our transactions and advisory practices
• Be a vital member of the team advising clients across all sectors and supporting key decision makers in developing and executing strategies for transactions
• Work in a transaction environment operating under tight mergers & acquisition (M&A) timeframes and demands
• Lead aspects of business origination, including pitches and presentations, and attending meetings with clients to generate new business opportunities
• Be familiar working in a large-scale consulting environment or industry role where you can demonstrate the ability to perform and summarize analysis into management insights and recommended actions at pace

To qualify for the role you must have
• A Bachelor's degree (an MBA degree will be an added advantage)
• Minimum of 5 years (Manager Level) / 8 years (Senior Manager level) of work experience in strategy, operations, or large-scale transformation in top investment firm, strategy consulting firm and/or leading corporates

Ideally, you'll also have
• A professional certification (e.g. CFA)
• M&A transaction, management consulting and/or industry experience
• Experience in one of the following industries is a plus: consumer products and retail, oil & gas, process and manufacturing industries, and pharma and healthcare
• Experience in building strong working relationships with senior clients, including influence, advice and support to key decision makers
• Experience in supporting sales and business development processes for professional services projects in a large-scale consulting environment
• Established networking skills in a relevant industry
• Knowledge of building financial models
