What is the opportunity?
In this role, you will lead the design, control and oversight of the analysis on Product and Client profitability. You will lead our Pricing and Revenue Assurance function, ensuring pricing strategy and process supports our strategy and revenue and profitability objectives, in addition to driving standards, protocols and quality across the entire Digital Experience & Product teams. You will oversee the analysis of Industry Surveys and Client Satisfaction surveys. In addition, you will work closely with senior leaders within Global Client Coverage, Product Development, Client Experience, and Global Operations and across other RBC division.

As the Head of Profitability Analysis & Protocols, you will lead the Pricing Committee and will be a member of the Digital Client Experience, Product & Marketing Operating Committee
What will you do?
- Design standards, protocols and templates for all documentation within Digital Client Experience, Product & Marketing; and create QA process within Digital Client Experience, Product & Marketing
- Lead the Pricing and Revenue Assurance teams and ensure pricing alignment with strategy, competitive positioning and product/client/business level P&L objectives, as well as partner with Finance and Product Heads to develop and maintain suite of rate cards focused on ensuring positive NIAT
- Create process for rate card approval to meet designated hurdle rates by Product and Client; and Chair the Pricing element of the Deal Review Committee
- Ensure alignment with billing team to avoid revenue leakage
- Set up process of Profitability analysis for all Products and Clients; and review monthly analysis with Product leads and Client Ex leads
- Co-Develop actions to return to desired hurdle rates
- Manage market surveys and process of client satisfaction surveys and action to improve
- Lead, manage and motivate a highly effective and efficient team located in key RBC Investor Services (IS) locations by providing focus and clarify in establishing objectives, driving performance, supporting career development and rewarding individual and team success
- Support an environment and culture within the Profitability Analysis & Protocols team which is aligned with RBC's values
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Obtained a university/college degree
- Sound technical knowledge of the financial services and securities industry
- Extensive experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for all marketing aspects
- Outstanding technical writing and verbal communications expertise
- Ability to absorb and analyse complex information and data, understand relevance, synthesize and summarise
- High proficiency in MS Office and business software
- Proven ability to apply marketing techniques over digital and non-digital channels
- Strong organizational skills, with entrepreneurial drive to deliver outstanding client service in a timely manner
- Strong leadership, relationship management, communications and partnership development capabilities and skills
- Proven project management experience in high-visibility projects
- Exceptional creative problem solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, independent, high-pressure, corporate environment
Nice-to-have
- MBA, CFA or post-graduate in business or finance
- Professional or industry qualifications
- Proven curiosity regarding Fintech and evolving investment industry trends
