Working closely with the traders, while also liaising extensively with c ompliance/legal, finance, operations, market risk, trading and valuations, t he successful candidate will be responsible for setting-up new products; analyzing a range of derivative contracts; reviewing agreements, contracts and term sheets; and providing legal subject matter expertise regarding complex transactions.

The successful candidate will ideally possess:
  • 5+ years relevant experience in capital markets - consulting, hedge fund, investment bank, law firm, trading shop all considered - including trading desk exposure;
  • deep knowledge across a range derivative products including convertible bonds, exotics, futures, options , OTC derivatives, swaps and volatility products;
  • specific experience with convertible structures; familiarity with a range of models for convertible analysis, as well as the full range of hedges , hedging and trading risks; and risk management at the portfolio level is strongly preferred;
  • background in analysis and review of derivative documentation, prospectuses and term sheets;
  • Bachelors degree from a top school required; JD, LLM strongly preferred; additional legal certification or training a plus;
  • Professional certification, ie: CFA preferred;
  • eagle eyed attention to detail;
  • outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
