Team

The Sustainable Investing team at JPMAM is currently looking for a Vice President to join the team to be based in either London or New York. The Sustainable Investing team at JPMAM unifies the firm's sustainable investment strategies onto a single platform and partners with our global investment and distribution teams to develop dedicated ESG research and thought leadership by way of leveraging our differentiated investment platform, proprietary technology, data analytics, deep ESG expertise and culture of innovation; and offer innovative sustainable solutions to our institutional and retail clients.

Role

JPMAM is seeking to hire a Vice President to join the Sustainable Investing team. S/he will be responsible for helping to advance our efforts holistically to promote, manage and advance our offerings in innovative solutions in partnership with the client distribution teams as well as JPMAM's global investment functions, with a particular focus on a mix of:
a) client-facing activities to drive the growth of our sustainable investing capabilities and products;
b) product ideation and development;
c) internal education of JPMAM stakeholders on sustainable investing efforts.

The individual will report directly to the Global Head of Sustainable Investing.

Key responsibilities will include the following - and will evolve over time:
  • Help clients better understand JPMAM's philosophy and approach to sustainable investing and our capabilities, through attending client meetings, leading responses on RFPs, developing external-facing materials, partnering with marketing on positioning, and actively participating in industry conferences;
  • Based on a review of the future market opportunity, help to create both a long-term product roadmap for expanding the sustainable investing platform's product set as well as a focused client strategy plan;
  • Help internal stakeholders better articulate JPMAM Sustainable Investing, through presenting at various channel specific and AM-wide meetings, in addition to developing content (FAQs, talking points, etc.) to assist distribution and investment specialists in delivering content widely;
  • Assist with ongoing ESG-related research conducted by the team, with a particular focus on Financial Materiality, ESG Data Vendors, and thematic;
  • Drive content curation, development, and execution of weekly Sustainable Investing Newsletter, delivered to 3,000 employees across J.P. Morgan Asset Management;
  • Support the Sustainable Investing Research Analysts to drive ongoing ESG integration efforts and enhancements to that process;
  • In collaboration with investment and product development teams, assist in development of market-leading measurement and reporting tools to meet clients ESG objectives;
  • Manage the firm's annual Principles for Responsible Investing (PRI) submission.
Core Skills & Qualifications required

This is a demanding job requiring highly motivated individuals who are willing to work hard to build up their knowledge base and credibility within the team. The successful candidate will possess a passion for creative and critical thinking about financial markets, and a desire to be part of a fast-growing team. Furthermore, they should demonstrate:

  • At least 5 years of relevant investment industry experience, including deep understanding and experience in ESG/ Sustainable Investing;
  • Solid understanding of financial markets; Comfort with investment products across asset classes;
  • Understanding of the global asset management client base;
  • Success in working with cross functional groups with ability to drive projects to completion through consensus of key stakeholders;
  • Strong communication and presentation skills;
  • Outstanding interpersonal characteristics, reputation, and team orientation, which will enable her/him to command the confidence, loyalty, and respect of investment colleagues;
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities;
  • Willingness to travel


  • CFA or MBA a plus.
