Portfolio Manager (Fixed Income)

Key Responsibilities
• Actively trade, manage and optimize returns on a fixed income unit trust fund
• Ensure the fund achieves financial goals through effective portfolio management whilst
deploying proper risk management techniques and complying to applicable laws and
regulations
• Regularly interact with all stakeholders including market intermediaries.
• Manage the day to day operations, ensure timely execution of the orders, while working in the
best interests of the Clients
• Assess macroeconomic and financial market conditions, forecast trends and create strategies to
suit the outlook.

Qualifications & experience
• A degree in Accountancy, Economics, Finance or Business Administration from an accredited
university and/or accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or CA. An MBA or CFA
qualification will be a definite advantage
• A proven track record with minimum of 2 years’ experience in active fund management/ trading
in fixed income securities in a bank or similar financial institution is essential. Experience in
managing unit trusts will be an added advantage.
• Strong trading, analytical and presentation skills, the ability to think quickly and make sound
decisions in high stress situations, attention to detail as well as a passion for financial markets
and fast-paced environments
• Excellent sales skills, interpersonal skills and communication skills
