The Role: Capital Markets / Senior Sale Associate, Client Development

The Location: Shanghai

The Impact:

The Senior Sales Associate is responsible for exploring new sales opportunities across a range of institutional clients in China to meet their need for investment analysis and industry research etc. Senior Sales Associates will work independently in developing designated territories with revenue generation as the primary focus.

For the Senior Sales Associate position, S&P Global Market Intelligence hires professionals from the financial services industry. S&P Global Market Intelligence prefers candidates with experience in the asset management, risk management or financial consulting fields. These professionals will find that S&P Global Market Intelligence provides a challenging and flexible environment, which values self-motivation and team collaboration.

Responsibilities:
  • Represent S&P Global Market Intelligence's portfolio of data products and credit risk solutions in a consultative manner to drive new business opportunities in China
  • Achieve individual target with strategic approach throughout the sales cycle
  • Proactively expand professional network and reach out to prospects in the designated territory
  • Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide timely update in the system
  • Strong product knowledge, deliver value proposition through customized product demo based on different requirement and needs
  • Provide constructive feedback to internal stakeholders on market observations and product enhancement
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree a plus
  • At least 5 years' experience in consultative sales and track record of direct revenue contribution
  • Strong knowledge in financial market, especially in secondary market would be a plus
  • Strong ability to communicate with clients in a clear manner and strong presentation skills
  • Established relationship development and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently with entrepreneurial spirit as well as in a team-based environment
  • Fluent in oral and written English and native Mandarin
  • CFA candidates are preferred
