About this role

We are hiring a Portfolio Analyst in our Prime Advisors, Inc. business in Redmond Washington. Today, Prime Advisors, Inc. operates under the SLC Management brand, and on January 1, 2020 will be merged with Sun Life Capital Management (U.S.) LLC, SLC Management’s U.S. fixed income business.

The Portfolio Analyst is a key member of the investment team, providing support and assistance to the portfolio management team which manages fixed income investment portfolios.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Portfolio Managers with all aspects of the investment process. This includes: responding to client requests; preparing presentations for current clients; reviewing portfolios to ensure compliance with investment policy guidelines; discussing investment strategies; reviewing client reports; and analyzing performance attribution.
  • Utilize analytical and programmng skills to assess existing workflows and processes, with an eye towards improvements and increased efficiency.
  • Apply organizational skills to prioritize high value tasks while maintaining a detailed focus on the quality of the deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively across the organization to develop and maintain close relationships with portfolio managers, traders, research analysts, relationship managers, and accountants to respond to client requests.

Skills

  • Self-motivated and self-directed; able to effectively manage and coordinate multiple projects and tasks under strict deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of the need for being accurate.
  • A collaborative work style and positive attitude.
  • Advanced technology skills, including experience with Bloomberg and Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong desire to enter the fixed income investment field.

Qualifications/requirements

  • Undergraduate degree, majoring in economics, finance, accounting or equivalent
  • Internship experience from a financial institution

Salary: Commensurate with experience
