Role and Responsibilities:
A Hedge Fund Research Analyst works closely with the Associate and Partners of the firm to:
- Perform detailed equity research on various global stocks
- Perform due diligence on new asset managers and monitor existing approved managers in the public and private equity space
- Participate in ad hoc research projects
- Provide support to internal investment professionals
Qualifications:
The ideal Hedge Fund Research Analyst candidate will have demonstrated interest in the financial markets and be conversant on investment related topics. Demonstrated knowledge of equities and market analysis will be viewed favorably but is not required. Basic analytical skills including the ability to frame issues, identify important points and draw conclusions, combined with strong communication skills and intellectual curiosity is a must.
Skills and experience required:
- 1-2 years of work experience: students who are in their last semesters of school are welcome to apply
- Proactive approach and active listener
- Curiosity to learn and ask good questions
- Attention to detail – able to check facts and figures methodically as a lot can rely on your data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English
- Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with a small team
- Analytical and quant skills – Comfortable gathering data, analyzing it, and building financial models
