Position Summary:

PGIM Real Estate seeks to hire a senior institutional sales professional to join the Business Development team. The successful candidate will have primary coverage responsibility and accountability for existing and prospective investors in the western US. The position can be based either in San Francisco or Los Angeles, CA and will report to the Head of Americas Business Development.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Head of Americas Business Development to create and execute a business plan to target institutional clients and consultants, resulting in successful achievement of capital raising targets
  • Successfully leverage existing relationships while building new relationships with a broad range of institutional investors in the western US
  • Work in a collaborative fashion within the broader business development team to drive sales and strengthen / extend existing relationships
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated working knowledge about PGIM Real Estates investment process and product offerings
  • Collaborate across the entire PGIM organization to successfully bring to bear the full resources of the firm in support of client development efforts
  • Understand, analyze and assess needs and realistic opportunities to pursue, while considering the competitive landscape
  • Understand key competitors and industry trends and position the firms products effectively relative to those competitors and trends
  • Maintain highly consultative and solutions based discussions with existing and prospective clients; serve as a strategic advisor in communicating PGIM Real Estates product offering while addressing broader asset allocation needs.
  • Work closely with the firms investment professionals to provide insight from prospective investor relationships and contribute to the development of PGIM Real Estates investment capabilities
  • Oversee a junior sales professional tasked with providing sales support

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degreerequired
  • Undergraduatedegree from a well-regarded institution; MBA and/or CFA preferred but notrequired
  • Minimum of tenyears experience marketing real estate investments to institutional investorsin North America, ideally with prior demonstrated success in the western US
  • Establisheddirect relationships with large institutional investors, ideally includingcorporate and public pension plans, insurance companies and their consultantsand advisors.
  • Strong knowledgeof real estate and proven track record of success raising capital for realestate funds.
  • Experience inmentoring junior team members; demonstrated long term management potential.
  • Proven capabilityin originating and growing investor relationships
  • Ability tocommunicate and position complex strategies to a range of institutionalinvestors and consultants
  • Demonstratedcareer history of loyalty, tenure and success in roles of increased complexityand responsibility
  • Proven success insetting and achieving aggressive capital raising goals, including a quantifiabletrack record of raising institutional capital
  • Demonstrated workethic, patience and tenacity required to develop long-term institutionalinvestor relationships from the basics of assisting in development of theirstrategy to the detail and focus required in marketing a product to achieve theclosing of a sale
  • Establishedcredibility and strong reputation as a high integrity, trusted advisor amonginvestors and peers in the hedge fund community
