The Advisor Led business is a part of the JPMorgan Private Bank that is focused on servicing the banking and investment needs of high net worth clients. The business' primary goal is to maintain and grow total client positions of clients with a liquid net worth of $5-25 million as these emerging clients represent a key area of focus to drive growth within the Private Bank.

Primary Function:

The Advisor is responsible for deepening and strengthening existing relationships and identifying new client acquisition opportunities. In addition, the Advisor acts as the primary relationship manager and maintains broad knowledge of banking, investments, credit, trust services, and financial planning in order to provide cross-balance sheet advice to clients. Some of the responsibilities include:
  • Conduct investment reviews with prospects and clients to determine or validate investment objectives and prepare alternatives of appropriate investment solutions
  • Advise on asset allocation and actively monitor clients' investment portfolios
  • Maintain current knowledge of all J.P. Morgan Private Bank solutions and strategies
  • Responsible for engaging in business development including developing of external and internal referral sources and the use of personal and professional contacts to deliver results
  • Initiate and close sales of investment, banking and credit products and solutions
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with internal partners and teammates
  • Adhere to internal and external policies and procedures regarding relationship management, securities transactions and Code of Conduct
  • Prepare and maintain KYCs as requested by our internal policies and procedures
  • Attend GWM Morning Meetings and other internal informational meetings
  • Input all call memos and pipeline information on a daily basis into Client Connect
  • Extensive experience with and in-depth knowledge of fixed income, structured notes, equities and alternatives
  • Experience managing discretionary and brokerage relationships
  • Conduct operations within FINRA and other regulatory agency guidelines and requirements
  • Ability to communicate sophisticated investment strategies to all levels of clients and prospects
  • International sales experience including: travelling, profiling, overcoming objections, negotiation, team selling approach, closing the sale and asking for referrals
  • Extensive experience in wealth management including, but not limited to: securities transactions, credit, deposits, trusts and financial planning
  • Ability to work in an open floor, team based environment and assist in the development and retention of junior team members
  • Ability to conduct frequent travel into Mexico and follow appropriate Cross-Border rules
  • Ten plus years of experience in Private Banking or Financial Services industry
  • Fluency in Spanish a must
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, or CFP preferred
  • Prior experience providing complex financial solutions to affluent or high net worth individuals and/or families in the Mexico Market
  • Series 7 & 63 licenses
