Position Description:

Work as an attorney in the Legal and Compliance group.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develop, document, launch and maintain private funds
  • Negotiate and manage side letters
  • Manage all regulatory issues associated with private funds
  • Interact with outside counsel and oversee private fund transactions
  • Review and negotiate investment management agreements/requests for proposals
  • Research various legal and regulatory issues, including those associated with expansion of PIMCO's business model
  • Work on general corporate projects
  • Oversee some litigation matters

Position Requirements:

Qualifications
  • Six or more years as an associate at a leading law firm or regulator, or similar experience
  • Industry experience including in-house experience within the asset management/fixed income industry is a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge with securities laws applicable to registered investment advisors, including the Investment Advisor's Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940, Securities Act of 1933, Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and Commodity Exchange Act
Experience with the following is preferred

  • Legal issues relating to asset management
  • Negotiating and drafting contracts
