Investment Analyst - Buyside Fund

Our client is a well known large cap International long only fund looking to hire an experienced research analyst to report directly into the PM based in Singapore.

You will cover the south east Asian listed equities market in particular Vietnam.

Responsibilities:

• Company Specific Research: Conduct fundamental research on companies as directed by the PM. The Analyst is expected to conduct detailed analysis on these companies by analysing historical reports & financials, speaking to sell-side research analysts, listening to earnings calls, etc.
• Initial Deliverables for each company will be: developing a working financial model, creating a power-point/word investment pitch/overview, and arriving at an investment recommendation based on the analysis
• Ongoing deliverables for each company will be: maintaining a calendar of all significant events, earnings, corporate actions and updating the models and investment overview with such development
• General Research: The PMwill frequently expect the analyst to gather and assimilate data on various trade ideas. These may be company specific or relate to various macroeconomic themes being explored.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 to 7 years of buy side research experience covering equities
• High degree of comfort with financial statements and ability to conduct specific and detailed analysis as directed
• Ability to build, update, and maintain complex financial models representing the current and future financial state of the companies being analysed
• CFA designation preferred but not required
