Plays an integral role in supporting the senior analyst coving the diversified industrials sector.   Under limited supervision, performs tasks assigned and managed by the senior analyst, including constructing and updating financial models and databases as well as performing statistical analysis, writing research notes on covered companies as well as industry and end-market reports, conducting company specific and broader industry research and completing ad hoc projects as needed.  Builds cross-functional relationships within CIB.  Follows all risk related practices and policies.  Develops client relationship skills and industry/market knowledge and responds to requests from internal institutional sales people and external clients . Must have an exceptional strong attention to detail and an ability to work in a sometimes fast paced environment requiring time sensitive results.   

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree
  • 4 years of related work experience
  • Strong knowledge of investment banking, market, industry sector, and/or financial products
  • Mastery of financial and accounting concepts to facilitate the creation or review of in-depth financial models involved in transactions
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Advanced skills in written and oral communications, and interpersonal relationship management
  • Solid analytical and sales skills

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • MBA degree, with a Finance focus
  • 6 years of related work experience
  • Experience analyzing industrial or machinery companies
  • Progress toward completion of the CFA designation
