Senior Financial Analyst

Market Maker is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who is excited about contributing to the growth of an emerging company.  Using their analytical skills, the successful candidate will make recommendations to the CEO and senior leadership team on capital allocation.  The ideal candidate is resourceful and a self starter that is not afraid to jump in and hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Build and manage the Market Maker financial model;
• Work closely with the CEOs and finance teams of Market Maker’s portfolio companies to develop a forecasting model used to make key strategic capital allocation decisions;
• Review the performance of portfolio companies and their industries and identify performance risks and their potential impact on Market Maker;
• Provide a leadership role in recommending the allocation of capital and balance sheet optimization; and
• Provide financial analysis on potential acquisitions along with forecasting their impact on Market Maker.

Requirements:

• CFA designation (or close to completion)
• Experience in monitoring the performance of private companies
• Experience in Private Equity is an asset
• Experience investing in private companies is an asset
