POSITION DESCRIPTION
We're enhancing our centralized Pricing Platform that provides operational support to PIMCO pricing teams. This platform enables the Business to perform daily responsibilities of overseeing all Pricing Functions. This platform provides an overview of all daily prices, valuation within portfolios, modeling to measure pricing impact, and PM signoff of fair valued securities. We are seeking a Senior developer who will help in design, architecture and development of the engine behind our Pricing Platform. The person in this role will build solutions in alignment with broader Technology platform guidelines and goals and which will be utilized for PIMCO's portfolio management and trading activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Drive the Front-End Development Layer - You will own and focus on the UI/UX
• Contribute to the overall design and architecture of the product.
• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable applications using WPF, WCF and Silverlight using C#
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
• Knowledgeable of Oracle database a plus
Position Requirements:
• 7+ years of working experience preferably in Financial Services Industry on a trading related system.
• Expert Level WPF Development - Client Side/UX Expert
• Strong experience with C# and Silverlight a Huge Plus
• Strong understanding and experience in the following areas:
o Ability to understand and rapidly implement efficient algorithms.
o Multi-threading - especially for responsive and performant WPF front end applications
o Writing restful services.
• Python experience a plus
• Prior experience in real time multi-threaded systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns. Knowledge of concurrency patterns in C#
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Excellent problem solving and solid development experience
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools
