The Fund Accountant is primarily responsible for processing transaction based on fund accounting tasks required for the completion of daily, weekly and monthly service deliverables to a number of hedge fund clients. Attention to detail, dead-line driven, virtual client service, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to reinforce set procedures will be paramount for success in the role.trong interpersonal skills and the ability to reinforce set procedures will be paramount for success in the role.

Main Job Functions/Tasks
  • • Processing of portfolio pricing, general ledger entries and other transaction based entries
  • • Preparation of daily/weekly and monthly verification packages for functional tasks
  • • Maintain non-asset based accrual & payment schedules
  • • Demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks and ensure timely completion, in line with demanding client service agreements.
  • • Maintain a current and thorough understanding of applicable best practice policies & client specific agreements.
  • • Escalate priority issues to supervisor and/or manager in a timely and detailed manner.
  • • Support downstream groups with effective handovers and query management.
  • • Engage in intra-office migrations and/ or new client on boarding.
  • • Contribute to new hire training.
  • • Contribute to departmental and team initiatives.
  • • Complete financial statements and NAV packages.
Education & Experiences
  • • Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, economics or other relevant professional designation (CFA, CGA, CMA, CA, CPA)
  • • 2-5 years of experience in Financial Services with high volume operational environment; knowledge of hedge fund industry an advantage
  • • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills
  • • Strong people/teamwork skills
