Job Purpose (Job Summary):
The individual will be responsible for producing Chinese and English investment marketing collateral to market Invesco's global investment products across retail, institutional and private banking channels in Hong Kong, Singapore and Taipei.

 

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Produce Chinese (traditional and simplified) and English fund flyers, fund summary emails, pitch books, product analysis reports, clients' specific fund commentaries, social media content and articles for the media for the purposes of business development, client servicing and public relations
  • Proofread and verify investment marketing bilingual content to ensure accuracy and consistency with Invesco's in-house style and terminology
  • Lead projects on product campaign materials and media content
  • Work closely with Invesco's channel marketing, digital marketing, communications, client portfolio management, compliance, economic research, investment, marketing operations, product development, retail and institutional sales colleagues across Asia, Europe and North America to deliver compliance-approved marketing collateral on a timely basis
  • Writing experience/interest for social media content
  • Special assignments as directed

 

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • Three to five years' work experience, preferably in financial institutions, financial journalism, public relations, marketing, communications, equity research or translation
  • Buy-side investment industry, investment funds and pension investment preferred
  • Experience in dealing with compliance and Hong Kong and Singapore regulatory requirements a plus

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:

  • Effective writing and sub-editing skills in Chinese and English to transform technical investment ideas into clear and concise marketing content
  • Excel and PowerPoint skills to create graphical representation of Bloomberg financial data, and Morningstar fund performance statistics
  • Basic knowledge of portfolio management and global investment markets (equities, fixed income, multi-assets, alternative) or willingness to quickly learn
  • Strong systems knowledge - email marketing and CMS a plus
  • Typing in Chinese (>20 characters/minute)
  • CFA program candidacy a plus
  • Native Mandarin a plus
  • Good interpersonal and project management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Driven, disciplined, punctual, patient, humble and open-minded
  • Strong spirit of teamwork and collaboration
  • Desire to continually learn new skills
  • Confidence to express opinions and propose new ideas
  • Curious, creative and with passion for investing
  • Sample investment thought pieces, presentation decks and fund flyers
  • Provision of supporting documents to substantiate the contents a plus

Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • University degree in any discipline that can demonstrate effective English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) writing skills, and investment knowledge.
  • Business, Communications, English, Finance, History, Investment Management, Economics, Journalism, Law, Marketing, Translation (English and Chinese) or other related disciplines

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office environment
  • Regular schedule of hours, though hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment
  • Willing to travel occasionally
