Equity Research Associate - Biotech / Pharmaceuticals (Healthcare Sector)

As a Research Associate on this team, you will perform extensive fundamental research and analysis of biotech and major multi-national pharma companies and their market segments. You will create, maintain, and update detailed financial models, acquire in-depth industry expertise, and contribute extensively to the Team's written product. You also will be expected to support the senior analyst and BMO's franchise through consistent interactions with company management teams, as well as institutional clients and BMO's salespeople and traders.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Successful candidates require a demonstrated history of internal drive/initiative, as well as unrelenting attention to detail, a high level of curiosity, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. Further, we specifically are targeting candidates with the following:

• MD/Phd strongly preferred, with demonstrated record of academic excellence.
• Preferred experience is 2+ years of experience in Equity Research in Biotech, Major Pharma, or Spec Pharma or in similar areas in investment banking, or healthcare consulting
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
• Strong written communication skills (writing samples will be required)
• Quantitative/financial skills: CFA, MBA, and/or CPA a plus,
• Series 7, 63, 86 & 87 licenses (viewed favorably, but not prerequisites to joining)
