General Description
A Quantitative Analyst is responsible for providing data, analysis and quantitative modeling to support the Research and Strategy team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Construct data sets, and perform quantitative analysis to support research, strategy, marketing, and product development projects.
- Support the creation of new investment products.
- Provide analysis for custom client and prospect requests in US and Australia.
- Maintain backtest data systems.
Job Requirements
- MBA, CFA, or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics or Mathematics.
- 2 years of work experience in the investment industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge in:
- statistics, portfolio theory, investments, and finance
- quantitative modeling, optimization, simulation, equity portfolio management, derivatives, and portfolio construction
- Excel, R, FactSet, Bloomberg and/or statistical tools that allow for quantitative modeling and analysis
- The ability to work on a team and to work autonomously on projects
- The ability to work with large data sets
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Project management and proven ability to multi-task
