Salary: Commensurate with experience

Terrific opportunity at a university foundation in the Midwestern US. We are proud to be partnering with a major university on a national search to identify a new Investment Analyst, Fixed Income. The position will be responsible for collecting information, as well as performing research and analysis for constructing public fixed income and short-term portfolios. The Investment Analyst will be involved with investment manager selection and monitoring, analyzing portfolio performance, asset allocation and Investment Committee communications. Successful candidates will have 5+ years of relevant experience with either an CFA or MBA. Endowment or pension experience is preferred. The salary range for the position is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform rigorous due diligence of prospective investment strategies, including quantitative and qualitative research and analysis
  • Participate in meetings to monitor existing managers and evaluate prospective investment firms
  • Utilize FactSet and Bloomberg to analyze and monitor portfolios and managers, risk exposures, performance and asset allocation
  • Participate in asset allocation discussions with the CIO and other management
  • Prepare Investment Committee materials and occasionally present portfolio updates and recommendations


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or CFA strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Hands-on experience managing a fixed income portfolio
  • Experience trading bonds a plus
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
