Area description

Global Financing & Advisory (F&A) combines financing and advisory expertise in an integrated product platform. The broad range of structured transactions in financing activities includes advising our corporate customers and delivering a wide range of funding solutions, from plain-vanilla lending to sophisticated structured finance solutions and ultimately providing access to debt and equity capital markets.

On this platform  the term Financial Sponsors (FSS) refers to private equity firms that manage a pool of capital to invest in companies usually in a control role. In a leveraged buyout (“LBO”), a company is acquired or purchased by such a specialized investment firm using equity and a tailored debt financing provided by third party firms such as UniCredit. Financial Sponsor Solutions (“FSS”) has prime coverage responsibility for all Financial Sponsors, therefore acting as the senior banker organization for this highly specialized client base, as well as the companies controlled by these Financial Sponsor firms. In this context FSS is also directly responsible for and executes all lending (incl. LBO financings) and lending-related business, and coordinates the delivery of other UniCredit products.

Corporate Structured Finance (CSF) represent UniCredit CIB's product factory dedicated to structuring and execution of complex corporate financing solutions (corporate acquisitions, bridge facilities and syndicated loans) in all industries. CSF serves as a door opener for full range of ancillary bank products, maximizing overall client satisfaction and triggering high profitability. By focusing strongly on winning visible and prominent lead mandates, they sharpen UniCredit's profile as a premier European financing powerhouse.

Corporate Finance Advisory (CFA) is responsible for the Group-wide steering and coordination of all Merger & Acquisition (M&A) transactions and respective advisory services for the whole UniCredit client base with focus on UniCredit's core countries Austria, Germany, Italy and CEE.
CFA's covers the strategic dialogues on Board- and upper Management-level through various advisory services during the transaction (preparation and execution of sell-side or buy-side processes), specific advisory on Capital Markets transactions (IPOs, capital increases, public take-overs, etc.) and advisory within special situations like defense advisory, restructurings and privatizations.
